Markets: 2nd Sunday of the month – Showgrounds
Saturate your senses at the Mount Tamborine Country Markets . Held at the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds on the second Sunday of every month, with approximately 200 stalls filled with everything from original and exciting arts, crafts, clothing, potions and jewellery, to local fresh and delicious home grown delicacies. Often stallholders will offer sample products for you to feel, taste, and smell to help you decide what products you like the best.

Markets: Last Sunday of the month – Opposite Tamborine Mountain State School
This market features stalls with bric-a-brac, clothing, tools, antiques, country furniture, odds-and-ends, books, produce and rare oddities can sometimes be found. Frequented by locals and tourists alike, the market is family friendly with a lively atmosphere. Kids activities, entertainment plus a wide assortment of food and drink to give you the energy required to bargain hunt.

Garter Belts & Gasoline 29th of April – 1st May
The Garter Belts & Gasoline Nostalgia Festival will be held on beautiful Tamborine Mountain in 2011 on the Labour Day Long Weekend. The festival is a celebration of the Cars, Music, Fashion, Art & Lifestyle born of the 1940s & 1950s. The weekend will involve Vintage Movies at the Tamborine Mountain Zamia Theatre, Live Rockabilly, Alt Country, Blues and Roots Music at two mountain venues on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights, there will be a four day Art Exhibition which in the past has attracted American Artists Max Grundy and James Owens.

Springtime on the Mountain – open gardens 30th September,1st & 2nd October
As in previous years, the Trail will incorporate 6 Open Private Gardens. Trail passes will be $15.00 (dependant children Free). Tickets will be available at all Open Gardens as well as the Botanic Gardens on the mountain. Six Private Gardens with Plant Stall, Botanic Artists and one garden with our Club Cafe with wandering Harmony Singers. The mountain has many natural attractions including accommodation, eateries, wineries, galleries and shops as well as many picnic areas. So stroll in the sunshine and make a day or a weekend of it.

Scarecrow Festival 14th,15th & 16th October
Held every year on Tamborine Mountain over a fun packed weekend, this popular festival allows visitors and locals alike to explore the 14km ‘Scarecrow Trail’ around the mountain and discover the many artistic scarecrows created by the merry folks on Mount Tamborine. The festival and fun atmosphere is maintained with musicians and other performing artists to entertain you. There are many food and drink ‘opportunities’ to ensure that you do not go hungry or thirsty as well as all the other variety of attractions of Tamborine Mountain.

Tour de Tamborine 20th November
The Tour de Tamborine is
recognised as one of South East Queensland’s premier charity sporting
events. Set amongst the tranquillity of a subtropical paradise,
participants of all ages and abilities are invited to enter one of
several distances in either a cycle, a run or a walk – all in aid of
local charity.
The home for this remarkable event is the new multi million dollar
sports facility – the world class Tamborine Mountain Sport and
Recreation Complex. 5km, 10km or 15km run or walk — 5km, 25km and 50km
cycle events – routes start and finish at the new Tamborine Mountain
Sports & Recreation Complex.
